TUESDAY, February 25th, 2014 – READING 3.2 EXAM

Review:

Vocabulary: Meanings and usage in sentence pgs: 2, 12, 22; Concepts: Theme, setting, cause and effect.

Textbook: Read and comprehend “Thunder Cake” in textbook / Practice Bk pgs 23, 25, 26

WEDNESDAY, February 26th, 2014 – GRAMMAR EXAM

Review:  Verbs in Sentences pgs 61-65; Adjectives pgs 77-81; Comparatives and Superlatives pgs 82-86; Adverbs pgs 87-90.  Red  notebook exercises.

THURSDAY, February 27th, 2014 – PHONICS and SPELLING EXAM

Phonics Review. Initial and Final Consonant Blends (76-78/84-85); Three Letter blends (81-83/89-90); Diphthongs oi and oy (86-88/94-95)

Spelling Review.  Vocabulary lists  pgs: 49, 61, 65, 69, .Dictation, meaning and usage in sentence.

FRIDAY, February 28th 2014 –

Health Review. Chapter 4, Holidays and Traditions, Textbook pg 104-123. Vocabulary and exercises in Practice book pgs. 23-28

SOCIAL STUDIES / PRESENTATION

Chapter 4 and 5: Textbook pgs. 142-189; Review vocabulary and PB pgs 31-41

Each student will have a topic to present and must use visual help (construction paper).

Rubric: Students are scored in three major areas.

The first area is Delivery, which includes eye contact, and tone of voice .

The second area, Content/Organization, scores students based on their knowledge and understanding of the topic being presented and the overall organization of their presentation.

The third area, Enthusiasm/Audience Awareness, assesses students based on their enthusiasm toward the topic and how well they came across to their intended audience.
